The Renick Performance X-Pipe delete is to be used with the stock OEM exhaust system. The Renick Performance X-Pipe delete is designed to eliminate the OEM X-Pipe that sits directly in-front the differential. When you install any of performance “Cat-less” “Off-road/Race” Downpipes on the market, the OEM Exhaust with the X-Pipe will make a “Buzzing” or “Rattling”. (Please see videos on the X-Pipe page.
The Renick Performance X-Pipe delete is an easy to install, weld in unit. Twin Three inch diameter tubing and correct spacing to slip the OEM mid pipes (After cutting out the OEM X-Pipe) inside the X-pipe delete. Any exhaust welding shop can install this piece in less than 15 minutes.
Renick Performance tried developing a clamp-in X-Pipe Delete, but this was not conducive with quality we want to represent. Weld-in is the sure way to go and ensure a perfect seal, with no possibility of clamp-ends rattling on the undercarriage.
We build the RP X-Pipe deletes from the same high quality stainless steal you see on our other products.
When you mate the RP Race downpipes and the RP X-Pipe together with the OEM exhaust system you get a motorsports level of performance and sound. Combining the two together in the OEM configuration gives you the most affordable way to gain power, response, elevated HP & TQ while retaining factory functions.
RETURN TO STOCK- If you have a lease, and needed to return as much as possible of the car to OEM standards simply remove the RP Downpipes (Or other brand) and reinstall the OEM Downpipes. Leave the RP X-Pipe delete on the car. The sound will be no different than stock, other than a deeper idle tone. The RP X-Pipe delete exceeds factory spec’s. The OEM exhaust and X-Pipe has sub-pare wedding and leaks in many micro weld pockets.
The X-Pipe delete can be used on a stock ATS-V to make the sound a little bit more deep, but the change will be nominal.
