This Axle back exhaust system was specifically designed for the customer who does not run Catalytic Converters. The GM LF4 produces a high level of resonance and rasp. The LF4 engine tone is very unpleasant with out catalysts and needs a custom tailored exhaust system.
The Renick Performance Axle back was originally a custom commission for two customers who wanted to achieve the same goals from a full turbo back cat-less track exhaust.
1.Retain the GM OEM exhaust mode valves and actuators.
2.Smooth tones while valves are shut and open.
3.Eliminate Drone by 90% or more both valves open or closed.
4.Comfort mode- tone more like a GTR or Quadrifio
5.Comfort mode- volume 15-35+ Db’s above stock and not intrusive to cabin comfort.
6.Sport/Track- valve open to by-pass muffler system for aggressive track level volume and tone.
7.Sport/Track- when RP axle back is coupled to the RP mid section or as a complete turbo back exhaust system; the unit produces a strong smooth non-resonating tone in Comfort Mode. Track/Sport modes produces a loud, GTR like sound for track and competition use that will not bother the occupants.
The RP Axle back rear section of the full turbo back is custom design to best achieve performance, sound quality and OEM NPPT retention. We at RP have built custom Stainless exhaust valves in 3inch ID to couple with the stock NPPT exhaust valve actuators. These valves are built with bearing on each side of the gate. The valves are made in house here in the USA.
The entire system is made here in California. The custom mufflers aswell as our very successful low through resonators, oval 3.5 inch pipe, bends and Y. We are prideful of this system. Not one other company offers you a system with this amount of function and testing behind it to best suit you, our client.
The system comes with four dry carbon exhaust tips with tension clamps adjustable to your liking. Our team has a huge amount of pride in this system and how it functions. After 12 prototype turbo back exhausts samples we feel 100% confidant you will know this exhaust is the only option for catless use ATSV’s.
